The Honorary Consul 

Godwin E. Bencini has a long and successful career in the
financial services industry, having been directly involved at different levels of the insurance sector in
Malta. He is considered to be a leading authority on life insurance, in these islands.
Godwin Bencini has attended a series of courses in Management and
Insurance, both in Malta and overseas. He has also participated in a large number of international conferences
and seminars mainly in Europe, but also in the Caribbean and the Far East. One of the management courses he
attended was a residential one, titled Management by Objectives, at Churchill College, Cambridge University,
England.
He has been invited to give insurance related talks to different
audiences, one of which was the staff of a leading international firm of auditors and accountants. He is also
the author of a number of articles in the local press and magazines, and he has participated in several programmes
on different radio stations.
Over the years Godwin has served on a number of boards,
including that of Middlesea Insurance plc. He was the vice-President of the Associazione Siracusa-Malta, an
association formed to foster the exchange of cultural and commercial ties between Malta and Syracuse. He was
also vice-President of Malta Lions Club – Host.
Godwin E. Bencini was a very keen sportsman, and he had been
selected to represent the Malta Amateur Athletic Association and the Malta Amateur Football Association, on a
number of occasions.
